Bee Yourself
The illustration is a visual pun of the word "be" illustrated by a bee, and the word "yourself" framed by a rainbow. This was my personal contribution to the current social and political atmosphere regarding the rights of the LGBT community.

This piece was created for the NAACP Portland State University chapter to be sold at their back history month event. The illustration represents the beauty of African American women, including the controversial topic of natural hair which was discussed among many members of that chapter. The idea is to encourage and enforce the natural god-given beauty of ethnic women.
